Day Center
The Day Center provides basic needs to the homeless and needy - things that most of us take for granted: rest rooms, clean water, the use of a phone, bus passes, toiletries, rides to local churches, Christ-based movies and friendship.
One of the activities that take place at the Day Center is a Christian 12-step addicition recovery study called Alcoholics Victorious. For many, breaking addictions is a first step to breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Sleeping on the ground may be fun when one is camping, but sleeping on the cold, hard ground because you have nowhere else to go is another matter. Since 1999, Missoula 3:16 has provided hundreds of sleeping bags, blankets, tarps and winter coats to our precious friends sleeping outdoors.
The Mission's "kitchen" and food pantry is a very busy place. More than 2,000 meals are furnished each month for those coming for breakfast, lunch, and the Saturday evening fellowship meal. In addition, over 140 food boxes are prepared every month and given to the homeless and needy in the community.
Our most important form of outreach is to introduce people to Jesus. Having this burden for lost souls motivates us to offer Bible studies several times a week, along with a chapel service on Sundays. We also offer a jail ministry which consists of Bible studies and visitation.
